A good purchase for the price. I have the faucet attachment filter, so I found the picture for the product very misleading and confusing. But the filters themselves are pretty good. I live in Los Angeles and the water is so full of chemicals it tastes like pool water. And as a bonus, I live in an older building, so occasionally the water is less than clear. This filter eliminates most of the pool taste and all of the discoloration. I#039ve had water filters that are better, but this one is sufficient for the price

be replaced every 6 months at the longest, and keeps increasing every time I have to buy a new one.
Amazon#039s, I must say, is just about the lowest price you may find around.
The fact is nevertheless that this particular filter has no substitutes, and though very expensive, is the only
commercially available one giving you assurance that the water you drink has become as pure as it can be.
Additionally, if you are an Espresso lover like I am, well then you know that to make good espresso, pure and

Yay, now you can clean your water and add junk back to it!. I just tried this at a friend#039s house and the strawberry flavoring was just horrible. If you have any appreciation for good food and beverages, you will not like this. It was so artificial tasting that I couldn#039t have more then the one sip. Strawberry is a hard flavor to mimic. If you#039ve ever had strawberry flavored lip balm, candy, or something like that, you#039ll know what I mean.

This product is such a bad idea. If the goal is to filter out chemicals from your water why would you want to put more back in

I use the plain 3 stage Pur filters on my faucet and they are great for making my tap water completely flavorless, the way I like it. (Although I really question the quality of the actual faucet mount and how it#039s priced.)

If you want strawberry flavored water, buy a bunch of real strawberries on sale (or whenever if you can afford it), when they#039re ripe, wash and chop them and keep them in the freezer. Use a few pieces like ice cubes. Then you#039ll also have a tasty and healthy thawed out treat at the bottom of your cup to look forward to as reward for drinking your water. I also do this with pretty much any fruit I have that I fear might go to waste, but I also like my water just fine plain.

Water really is addicting once your body gets past the shock that it#039s sugar-free, fat-free and calorie-free. I can#039t imagine that adding stuff like this to water will help your body crave it.

So Worth it!!!. I pretty much only drink flavored water (although i do enjoy Blue Mtn Dew Coffee) so i thought I#039d buy the cartridges and the pitcher to save money cut down on my plastics consumption in an effort to do my own part.

i have had little to no problems with this product and will continue to buy these cartridges as long as they are on the market. :-)

**The very minor problems i have had with this product include:

-the short life of the cartridges...they lasted about a week each, BUT i was drinking nearly a pitcher full (or more) a day, so that#039s actually pretty good seeing as how i like to add quite a bit of flavor.

-it takes a while to get used to, because you can#039t easily tell how much flavor your adding, but once you get use to it that stops being a problem.

-Lastly, the raspberry cartridge that came with the pitcher did not want to work at first BUT None of the other cartridges have done that to me.



**The Bonuses that i found when using this product include:

-Using less plastic bottles

-creating less trash/waste

-no longer having to carry heavy packages of water bottles into my home

-They freed up a lot of fridge space, witch is nice even though my fridge is fairly large

-multiple flavors to choose from (i recommend strawberry) and you can switch them out whenever

-the water tastes great weather you use the flavor cartridge or not.


One thing i am slightly undecided about:

-if you want plain water-don#039t push the button...well ok this will work as long as there isn#039t any flavor sitting in the flavor catcher waiting to meet up with the water. it#039s a little easier to dispense the flavor when some is sitting in the catcher...but it makes it harder to get plain water

this is eaisly fixed however by doing 1 of the following:
1-clean out the catcher before trying to pour plain water, its easy but you can waste alot this way

2-pour a glass of flavored water for you, someone else, or for later

3-Or just don#039t let the catcher stay filled up when not in use


OVER ALL

i reccoment this product to anyone that drinks a lot of flavored water


Buy Your Own Flavor. When a company rushes out with something that doesn#039t even fit well into the pitcher, doesn#039t dispense very well, is artificial flavor and is grossly expensive, it simply means more planning was necessary before launching such a venture! The PUR filter systems still don#039t remove fluoride, unfortunately, so people with heart problems and such probably should stick to bottled water. In the meantime, if you want taste, by some fruit juice at the store and add a dash to each pitcher full.



Yucky. I am disappointed with this product in general, regardless of the flavor... However, with that said, this is the worst flavor I have tried so far. Raspberry and Lemon were ok. This one tastes like medicine. None of these provide enough flavor with 1 squirt as the manufacturer states it should. If you were hoping to save money by using this over purchasing flavored bottled water, you will be disappointed.

Not very tasty. The flavors are kind of gross. I#039m used to the flavored water by Dasani and Aquafina or even the Crystal Light mix-ins and this doesn#039t taste nearly as good as those. I think it#039s a neat idea, but they need to work on removing the "artificial sweetener" aftertaste.

Don#039t buy from Amazon, they sent me a used one !!. You pay for the new item but you get one which has been returned by someone. They did not even bother to remove the receipt of the person who returned it. Do you guys want to buy from this kind of retailer Its better to spend a few dollars more and buy at your local store!

Terrible water filter. Ridiculously slow. Horrible customer service.. We bought this filter [...] about 2 months ago. It worked just fine for about the first week. Then, it started to slow down, and get slower and slower, and slower. It basically drips now. We have to put a pot underneath it to catch the drips for hours so that we can collect enough just for drinking. Ridiculous.

Completely Satisfied. I am totally baffled by all the negative reviews of this item. I#039ve had it now for over six months and I have encountered NONE of the problems some other reviewers describe in their grumbling critiques. In fact, this great device has been working like a charm. Perhaps all the problems might have been created by a faulty installation: this is the only conclusion I can derive by reading all this undeserved grousing. To reiterate, I, for one, am completely satisfied!

Very Satisfied!. I#039ve owned this product for over 2 years now and never had a problem with it until now. And that#039s because my 4 year old likes to climb onto the kitchen counter and holds onto this to let himself down. Now it#039s leaking water at the seal where you attach it to the faucet. So now I#039m going out to buy another one. It#039s some of the best cleaning water I#039ve ever tasted. I hate drinking clorine water! My kids drink more water too with this.

New design-like it so far.. Like other reviewers, I have been a Pur filter user for years, but lately the units haven#039t been lasting more than a few months at a time. I stuck with Pur because of a lack of other options out there similar to Pur. Lately, the units crack or leak or both-definitely not worth the cost. I tried this new design, and so far I#039m pleased. It has a cheaper look, though-the #039brushed chrome#039 in no way matches my faucet like an old model did. I was alarmed at first with the cheap construction, but the easy installation and quick release has me sold. If the unit breaks within a few months, I#039ll write back about Pur and then buy a different brand. So far, so good.

Metal over plastic CUT finger!. At first I loved this filter and recommended this to friends, but now since I#039ve had it for over 3 years, the front part (which is NOT stainless steel, but metal film of some sort OVER plastic) is peeling off and that part CUT my finger to the point of bleeding and bandaging. I even tried peeling off most of the metal part back so that it wouldn#039t cross my hand again and to save me from buying a new one, and somehow a piece still cut my finger again!

I plan on writing the company and complaining about this. I doubt I#039ll buy another one. Plus, the water doesn#039t really taste as good as even the cheapest brand of bottled waters. But, that is just my taste preference.

Exactly what I expected..
While the brushed stainless doesn#039t match my sink exactly - - it looks far better than the chrome would. :)
It was a breeze to install, and use. The water doesn#039t come out of the filter as gently as I would have like it to, but that#039s hardly something to complain about.
All in all a great buy. :)

Pur Ultimate begins leaking around faucet after 6 months.. This is my third Pur Ultimate faucet filter. All three leak at the faucet connection after about 6 months of use- unacceptible. I had them installed by different plumbers, so it#039s not an installation error. Guess I#039ll go back to the filter-pitcher, because at $60 for this filter, they can#039t figure out how to make them last.

Change out. Great filter system, had one just like it for 5 years still worked, chrome plastic and replaced it with the brush stainless finish.
